I have seen some pedigrees crediting the Lee family of Quarrendon, but can
anyone share what is definitely known of their origin. My connection:

1. Benedict Lee, of Warwick, Warwickshire; and Quarrendon, Little Marston,
etc., Buckinghamshire; Master of the Guilds of the Trinity and St. George,
Warwick.
Died testate between 7 Sep. and 20 Sep. 1476 requesting burial at Church of
St. Nicholas, Warwick.
Married by 10 Jan. 1455/6 to Elizabeth [said to be daughter of John Wood of
Warwick].

2. Richard Lee, apparently second son, of Quarrendon, Aylesbury, etc.,
Buckinghamshire.
Died testate with will dated 20 Nov. 1499 [recorded 1500] requesting burial
at Church of St. Peter, Quarrendon.
Said to have married Elizabeth Saunders, but his wife in 1499 was Joan.

3. Elizabeth Lee
Died 24 May 1539 with M.I. in Church of SS. Peter and Paul, Dinton,
Buckinghamshire.
Married to Thomas Grenewey (d. 26 Apr. 1538), Esq., of Dinton Parish,
Buckinghamshire.

4. Winifred Grenewey
Legatee in the will of her father and her brother, Richard Grenewey (d. 30
Jan. 1551/2), Esq., lord of Amersham, Buckinghamshire, and "the late dissolved
house of Acon in London."
Married to Richard Ingoldsby, Esq., of Lenborough manor (in Buckingham),
Buckinghamshire.
Their three sons were: (1) Francis Ingoldsby, Armiger, buried 3 Nov. 1579
Buckingham, Buckinghamshire; (2) George Ingoldsby, Gent., buried 3 Jan. 1591/2
Fishtoft, Lincolnshire; and (3) John Ingoldsby, buried 22 Jun. 1583
Buckingham, Buckinghamshire.

5. George Ingoldsby, Gent., second son, of Fishtoft, Lincolnshire.
His sons were: (1) William Ingoldsby of Frieston, Lincolnshire, buried 8
Sep. 1626 Fishtoft, Lincolnshire; and (2) Anthony Ingoldsby (see below).

6. Anthony Ingoldsby, M.A., Rector of Fishtoft, Lincolnshire.
Buried 26 Apr. 1627 Fishtoft, Lincolnshire.
Married as his third wife [with licence dated 10 Dec. 1598] Dorcas Bulkeley
(bur. 21 Oct. 1616), daughter of Dr. Edward Bulkeley, D.D., of Odell,
Bedfordshire, by his wife Olyve Irby.

7. Olyve Ingoldsby
Christened 24 Jun. 1602 Fishtoft, Lincolnshire.
Married 20 Apr. 1620 at Fishtoft to Thomas James (chr. 5 Oct. 1595~bur. 16
Feb. 1682/3), M.A., who emigrated with his second wife Elizabeth in 1632 to
Boston.

8. Thomas James, Minister of East Hampton, Long Island [Suffolk Co., New
York].
Christened 13 Feb. 1620/1 Moulton, Lincolnshire.
Died 14 Jun. 1696 East Hampton, Suffolk Co., New York and buried with M.I.
in East End Burying Ground.
Married as his first wife Ruth Jones (1628~1668-9).
