This is most probably the William la Zouche, son of Alan and Elena, father
of Almaricus b. 1269 at Totneys. William of Essex is dead. Therefore, we
have two Williams of significance active during the same period.
This William is obviously a knight and I have an interest is ascribing the
correct offices to the correct William. Also, his wife's name would be of
major significance. He is old enough to be the father of Roger of
Lubbesthorpe. This William would also have been the brother of a younger
Eudo who married Milicent Montealto.

Thoughts please.
