Don't know whether this sheds any light on the line behind Alice
Freeman, but see p. 241 of the 1623 Gloucs. Visitation, which mentions
"Elizabeth d. of John Langston of Cau'feld in com. Buckingham by Amy d.
of John Danvers of Cothorpe."

This seems to show how Bruley intersected with Danvers ...

Certainly Leo van der Pas (among others) has John Langston and Amy
Danvers as the parents of Joan Langston who married Thomas Giffard who
are the ancestors of Alice Freeman Thompson Parke. By doing a simple
google search on John Langston and Amy Danvers one gets several hits
with several versions of their ancestries, one of which does purport a
"better" royal line to Henry I of England through the de Tracy family.
I'm not sure if anyone has pursued this line of research however.
