Cuts on the beer or wine bottle label

Legg inn av namas » 03 jul 2006 16:49:06

I see three tiny cuts with equivalent spacing and four cuts with
smaller spacing on a wine bottle label. I had the bottle for 14 years
and those were there when I got it.

Could someone help me to understand what it means by those cuts on the
label?

It means the last person that was sitting there contemplating drinking that
bottle, was fiddling with a knife while contemplating.... =) seems they
decided not to drink it leaving you to puzzle over the grand meaning of
bottle labels and life....

the number and spacing of the cuts give information about where and when

bottled - an equivalent to bar codes - this system of cuts is not unique to
wine, several products use(d) it
