Will

I spotted that you were missing the mother of Thomas Clinton (8th Lord
who died 1517).

This is what I found when hunting for Clintons from whom I am
descended. This information was from earlier messages to this group.

VII. 7. JOHN (CLINTON otherwise FIENNES), LORD CLINTON, son and
heir, aged
17 at his father's death, was of Amington, co. Warwick. K.B. 14
November
1501. He was not summoned to Parliament until 23 November 1514, by
writ
directed .... Clynton de Clynton ch'r. He is said to have married,
1stly,
Elizabeth, daughter of Sir John MORGAN, sometimes described as of
Tredegar,
co. Monmouth. He married, 2ndly, before 1501, Anne. He died 4 June
1514.
His widow, who apparently was not the mother of his heir, was living 7
November 1535. [CP 3:316-17]

VIII. 8. THOMAS (CLINTON otherwise FIENNES), LORD CLINTON, son and
heir
apparently by 1st wife, aged 24 at his father's death, was never
summoned to
Parliament. He was knighted 1513. He married, Joan (Settlement 4 May
1510),
illegitimate daughter of Sir Edward POYNINGS, K.G. He died of the
sweating
sickness, 7 August 1517, and was buried the same day at Richmond, in
his 28th
year. His widow, who had license to marry whom she would 4 July 1519,
married Sir Robert WINGFIELD, and was living as his wife 7 November
1535.
[CP 3:317]

So it looks as if the missing mother was Elizabeth Morgan. Her line
leads back to early Welsh nobles according to a number of online
genealogies.

Best wishes
Sue
