Echyngham/Baynton

I want to throw out a thought . In running through the http://www.rootsweb.com
pages I find that there are a good group of people who have a Margaret Echyngham as daughter of Joan Arundel and Wm Echyngham. They also have her married to a Bryan and a son Thomas Bryan. This is all in Cheddington, Buckinghamshire area. I feel they have the wrong Joan Fitzalan Arundel as different ones have different backgrounds. I don't take all this without proof, but just seeing this gives me thought that maybe we have a mix up in Joan Fitzalan Atrundel. I believe there were several. Who is this Margaret Ecbyngham anyway? If you also go to the William de brian(Bryna) who was Joan Fitzalan d 1404 first husband, then you will see them also mixed up in the rootsweb for the bryan family. My thought is that maybe a mixup in the Joan Arundel is the problem with the Baynton line. Dr Nigel Saul in his personal correspondence to me says that in all his research he has not seen a Bainton(Baynton) in the Devon, Sussex area and believe the marriage to a Baynton
from the Sussex Echyngham is not probable. .
