Judith Knapp and William Hubbard

She is not an ancestor of mine, but she appears in one of my databases
and I have received the following post'em.

QUOTE
Rev. William Hubbard's mother was an unlisted woman, not Judith Knapp.

First of all, Judith would have been too young to have borne William's
elder siblings.

Secondly, there is an account of his immigration, which plainly says
Judith was his step-mother, as follows: "He sailed from London in the
ship <DEFENCE> in 1635, 'Edmond Bostocke, master,' and landed in Boston,
Mass, Oct 6, 1635, in the company of his father, step-mother and 5
siblings. He was 14 years of age at the time." This would indicate that
his father sired him 15 years prior, that is, in 1620. Judith would
have been 10 years of age, had she been his mother.

I'm only the messenger. Don't really know anything about these people!
