Tudorplace.ar lists one Robert Berkeley, born at Erlingham as a son to
Maurice "the Resolute" d 1281 and his wife Isabella "FitzRichard" [sic] dau of
Robert FitzJohn, Baron Chilham
_http://www.tudorplace.com.ar/BERKELEY1.htm_
(http://www.tudorplace.com.ar/BERKELEY1.htm)

but lists no progeny

Leo on his great web site here
_http://www.genealogics.org/getperson.php?personID=I00054198&tree=LEO_
(http://www.genealogics.org/getperson.ph ... 8&tree=LEO)

has Maurice and Isabel "FitzRoy" [sic]
with one son Thomas Berkeley

However this is supposed to be, we cannot deny the following apparent
addition to both databases
From the Patent Rolls
Edward III volume 2 pg 240
year 1332
Jan 27 at Westminster
"Pardon to James de Wylton and Elizabeth his wife, John de Westmancote and
Leticia his wife and Richard de Aston and Margaret his wife for the trepass of
Robert de Berkelegh in acquiring in fee from Maurice de Berkeleye, in the
time of Edward I., the manor of Erlyngham, co Gloucester, and entering thereon
without license; and license for them to retain the manor which has descended
to the said Elizabeth, Leticia and Margaret as granddaughters and heirs of
Robert -- By p.s. and fine of 2 marks"

There was also Felicia. Not to mention other grandchildren of John,
Margaret and Thomas. See Smyth's Lives of the Berkeleys.
