Ken - Thank you for answering my query about the Piddingtons. I will check out these two. I did ask one of them about tombstone inscriptions since in most of the earlier wills the Piddingtons asked to be buried in the churchyard - but I was told that there were no Piddingtons in the churchyard in Cuddington - oddly enough.

Not odd. You aren't very likely to find churchyard MIs for the sixteenth and
early-seventeenth centuries. As a double-check, ask your informant what the
earliest recorded date for a churchyard memorial at Cuddington is.
