More on Hubbard

Legg inn av Richard Smyth at Road Run » 04 mai 2006 17:51:06

I apologize if I am thrusting Hubbard material on an uncaring world. However, Richard and Susan Hubbard are recorded with several more children at Little Clacton, including Richard, bapt. in 1582, and Jane, bapt. in 1584.

I also noticed what might be the baptism record for Richard Hubbard in 1555. The father appears to be John Hubbard; I will not venture a guess about the mother. If anyone is curious, I could create (or, actually, have created) a link to the original.

A "old" William Hubbard, who died in 1596, interests me---because of the name and because his residency at Boville Hall overlaps with that of Richard Hubbard. I think he might be a great-uncle or grandfather of the New England immigrant.

Regards,

Richard Smyth

Apologies if this has already been covered: have you seen the will of
William Hubbard, yeoman, of Little Clacton ("Clacton Parva") proved at
the Prerogative Court of Canterbury on 30 June 1613? [PROB 11/121]

Dear Richard ~

Your posts on the Hubbard family are more than welcome. Like John
Brandon said, the Hubbard family is very interesting. I likewise
commend the collegial and friendly tone of your posts.

No need to apologize Richard, we never know when this sort of data
will come in useful.

That said, could you set your line length to something like 72
characters as all your posts require a lot of scrolling side to side
in order to read them.

Keep up the good work.
