In Samuel Sewall's _Diary_, for 15 March 1726, he notes: "Mrs.
Palsgrave Walker, (whose maiden name was Edwards) is buried. ... After
the funeral Mr. [Benjamin] Walker told me, their marriage relation had
continued 44 years, 2 months 3 days."

This would yield a marriage date of ca. 1682. Yet we find the
following record in the extracted IGI--

Saint Dunstan, Stepney

Benjamin Walker to Palsgrave Edwards, 8 Jan. 1671

Perhaps Mr. Benjamin Walker was quite senile at this time ...

Presumably "44 years" should read "54 years", with 8 January 1671 being
8 January 1671/2 and Mrs Walker having died a few days before the
funeral (probably 11 March, if the "3 days" part is correct).
