describes William de Norhamptone and Richard de
Bulkele as "boklerplaiers"

Can anyone expalin the term "boklerplaiers"

Someone who plaies the bokler, whatever that might have been. Actually I
wasn't being facetious, but you might have guessed this much right off.
Next, we find out what a "bokler" was supposed to have been and then
we're on Easy Street.
