I wondered if anyone who knows about Yorkshire pedigrees might be able
to help.

Does Aubrey de Tourp, who was the Chamberlain to Queen Matilda (ca
1080-1118), the wife of Henry I (1070-1135) belong to the same family
as William de Thorp of Castle Eden, whose daughter and coheiress
Matilda married Adam de Seton sometime around 1200?

Aubrey did have a grandson William FitzHerbert who became Archbishop of
York and also a great-grandson William, son of the Archbishop's brother
Herbert.
