Dear Adrian ~

The items below from the online National Archives catalogue might be of
interest to you. The third, fourth, and fifth items below concerns
Lady Alice, widow of Sir Edward Belknap. She remarried sometime before
1538 John Brugge (or Brygges, Bridges), Gentleman, of Ivington,
Herefordshire.

The first item below implies that Sir Edward Belknap was the son-in-law
of Thomas Burnby, Esq. I suspect this may be a misreading of the text,
unless step-son is intended. Sir Edward Belknap's mother, Margaret
Knollys, survived his father, Henry (or Harry) Belknap, Esq., and she
may well have remarried Thomas Burnby, Esq.
