Dear Newsgroup:

The infamous King John of England, while Count of Mortain, referred to

in France, 1 (1899):495]. King John was related to Count Baldwin and
Count Philip in the 3rd and 3rd degrees of kindred, of if you prefer

Hainault.
4. Baldwin VI-IX, Count of Flanders & Hainault, Emperor of
Constantinople, died 1205.
