The document of Emperor Frederick I that was cited is dated 18th August 1162, at Turin.

The reference in question is to "karissime neptis nostre Rich(ildis) Hispaniarum regine". This does not mean "Queen of Spain" as translated by Richardson - "Hispaniarum" is plural and means literally "of the Spains", i.e. in this case of Castile, Leon, Galicia, Toldeo and Zaragoza. Riquilda's first husband had been titled "Emperor in Spain" from 1135 but he was not properly "King of Spain". After the Reconquest (Ferdinand and Isabella) was completed, monarchs were officially titled "King/Queen of All the Spains"

In an undated concord written at Turin a few weeks earlier, before 1st August 1162, Frederick had referred to the lady without a royal title as "nepti nostre R(ichildi) nunc comitisse Prouincie" (now Countess of Provence).

This seems to establish that Rich(ildis) married the Count of Provence not after 1162, but before 1 August 1162.
