Shipowners, London & Dover

Slightly late for the list, but I hope somebody here will be able to help.
I have a copy of the interrogation of Captain Thomas Stradling in St Malo in
1710, wherein he gives his origin as London, aged 28, and states that the
backers of his voyage to the South Seas with Dampier in 1703 were "Maskirrd" of
Dover and "Crukseur" of London. The names are not totally legible and would seem
to be deformed. Does anyone recognise them ? Or know anything about this
Thomas Stradling (who is obviously not the St Donat's castle one, as I once
thought, and definitely not the one that married Lydia Doane).
Replies off-list please, and my apologies for going outside the period.
Thank you in advance (said he hopefully)
Peter Meazey
