Dear Newsgroup,

Joan de St. Loe, dau. of Sir John de St. Loe, married (1) Sir John de
Chidiock (d. 1390) and (2) John Bathe (MP, d. 1409). John Bathe's widow at
his death was Agnes. Agnes subsequently married John Montagu (Roskell, HOP
2:145-146). Joan de St. Loe died sometime before her second husband, John
Bathe. Does anyone have a death date for Joan? Thank you.

Wallop says she was aged 21 and m. bef. 8 Nov 1375, but doesn't say
where that came from. Her sister was 18 in 1375 so the date may be
from an IPM. A date of 1350 is on a pedigree illustrating the descent
of the manor of Clifton. This appears in BRISTOL & GLOUCESTERSHIRE
ARCHAEOLOGICAL SOCIETY TRANSACTIONS. v 3 p 230.

Sorry. Must need new glasses! Wallop gives 1422-3. Bristol-Gloc
(above) gives 1423. No primary sources cited.
