Guibert, later anti-pope Clement III

Thought I would ask this here. Perusing through a biography of Ctss
Matilda of Canossa ("Tuscan Countess" by M.K. Spike), I noticed in
one genealogical tree that Matilda's great-grandfather Atto Adalberto
(d.998) had two brothers. One of them was Gerardo, count of Parma,
'ancestor of Guibert, Pope Clement III.' I know that Guibert was
once abp (or bp?) of Ravenna and was elected anti-pope, but searches
regarding his exact lineage back to this Gerardo of Parma unfortunately
turned up nothing. So would anyone be willing to provide a basic
descent of Guibert from this Gerardo? Any and all help greatly
appreciated.

Were there anti-popes as early as that? I have that Pope Clement III
1187-1191 was originially Paolo Scolari.

That's the genuine article you've got there, Leo.

The faux Clement III, antipope from 1080 to 1100 was one Guibert, who
Kelly in his Oxford Dictionary of Popes says was "born at Parma c1025
of a family related to the counts of Canossa".

I will have to look for this book in my uni library then. Until then,
don't suppose Kelly gives a source for the "born at Parma c1025
of a family related to the counts of Canossa" part? Thanks.

Unfortunately, he only appends a list of sources to each thumbnail
biography - a rather unhelpful way of proceeding. I will extract the
relevant list and post this when I have the opportunity - I am away
from my books at present for a few days.

I will take a look at the Oxford Dictionary Monday. By the way, anyone
know if George L. Williams' "Papal Genealogy" could contain any further
information on Guibert?
