British Museum Buys 1200-year-old coin

In the paper this morning is a story about the British Museum buying a 1200
year old coin which dates from Anglo-Saxon times and depicts King Coenwulf.
Have I missed something? Did we ever discuss Coenwulf on this list before?
He is said to have ruled in 796-821.

Would that be Coenwulf of Mercia?
