Some one Kindly posted this before
I thought I had saved it. guess not!

I need it for a speech and want to be sure it's correct

What are the considered time frames of the Middle Ages?

something about the fall of Constanople (SP) and the change of something else

Dark Ages are what 400 to 900?

Early medieval is 900 to 1200?

Late medieval is about 1200 to 1600? 1500?

I think a good date for Europe is 1453 (Fall of Constantinople, printing
press, end of 100 Years War). English historians and text books might put it
at the start of the Tudors.

There's a difference, I think, between saying end of medieval and start of
early modern - give 50 years or a couple of generations for things to click
through.
