Ancestral Roots 98?

How reliable is Ancestral Roots 98 (I presume 98 refers to printing
edition in 1998), pertaining to the Lacy family

specifically:

Walter de Lacy, abt 1172, died 24 Feb 1241
son of Hugh de Lacy, died 25 Jul 1186, and his wife Rohese de Monmouth

and in turn,
Rohese de Monmouth, born abt 1140
dau of Baderon de Monmouth (aft. 1176) and Rohese de Clare (d. 1149)

Fine so far.

Rohese de Monmouth, born abt 1140

Never heard of that birth date before. It is probably a guess.

dau of Baderon de Monmouth (aft. 1176)

In Keats-Rohan's Domesday Descendants p. 591 his death is "between 1170
and 1176".

and Rohese de Clare (d. 1149)

Can't see 1149 anywhere. In Keats-Rohan's Domesday Descendants p.
399 there is "Wife of Baderon de Monmouth, who mentions the gift he made
for her soul when she died in his Carta of 1166" which is pleasantly
ambiguous.
