Subject: Phillips furioso
Excuse me-- the brave Philllips has nothing to say against Richardson's continual expression of absurd and offensive opinions, but once he imagines that "Peter Stewart" might be involved he finds a backbone, and a strain of presumption to go with it.
Leo has obviously enough a number of different correspondents who affirm their respect for him in private and license him to forward their messages to anyone he chooses, but who do not wish to belong to the medieveal genealogy newsgroup.
Why is the expression of their opionions so threatening to Phillips, while Richardson is free to opine, insult and blather without his open censure?
Has a nerve been touched regarding his own moral fibre in this regard, perhaps?

I'd like to echo this. We had quite a reasonable period of truce a while
back. Could we not try to have another?

PS In answer to (I presume) Peter Stewart, these attacks on anyone you
perceive as insufficiently hostile to Douglas Richardson really are
unattractive. Please have the courtesy to let us make up our own minds
what
we post here. Particularly if you aren't even a subscriber to the
group/list.
