Alan fitz Brian of Bedale's father-in-law.

This is querying an entry in Keats-Rohan's "Domesday Descendants", p.
1002 where she writes that Gaufrid Haget was

"Son of Bertram 1 Haget and brother of Bertram II ... m. Alice ... by
whom he had issue, Geoffrey, ..., Agnes wife of Alan fitz Brian of
Bedale..."

On the other hand in the CP article on these FitzAlans, in the table
on Vol V, p. 397, it says that Alan fitz Brian of Bedale m.

" ... Lady of Bainton, da. and eventually coh. of Bertram Haget.."

This table has already been refuted for the first two generations by C T
Clay, primarily in "Motes on the origin of the FitzAlans of Bedale" in
Yorkshire Archaeological Journal, vol xxx, pp. 281-290. (Clay
established that Brian who was the father of Alan fitz Brian was the
son of Scolland and not that of Alan count of Brittany. CP gives the
correct ancestry and acknowledges Clay's work in EYC in X, 781, note
(b) ). Clay only ever says that Alan fitz Brian's wife was the heir
of Geoffrey Haget, without giving her father. So I wonder if this is
another lacuna in this table by CP and that K-R is right?
