Goldington, Strickland

I'm tryning to flesh out the Strickland's ancestry and am a bit perplexed by
the wife of Walter Strickland (c.1260- 1342). Eleanor Goldington is supposed
to be the daughter of William Goldington and (perhaps) Christian Hastings.
Does anyone have any information about the Goldington family?

Henry Hornyold in 1928 wrote a fairly full account called
"Genealogical Memoirs of the Family of Strickland of Sizergh". I found
a copy in the library of the Society of Genealogists in London
<http://www.sog.org.uk/sogcat/access/>. It might cover these far earlier
(that the one I was interested in) generations of yours. This is
presuming it is the Sizergh family that you are interested in.
