In the old DNB which is imaged at http://www.ancestry.com there is an article
on "Walker, George (1618-1690)".

Within this article which is about three to five columns, here are some
genealogical tidbits I've extracted. I would appreciate any comments
and also additions to allow me to connect this person to his other
relatives both forward and backward.

The following 10 facts are extracted from his [old] DNB entry
1) Governor of Londonderry
2) Son of George (a native of Yorkshire who became Chancellor of
Armagh) by his wife Ursula Stanhope
3) Native of Tyrone according to Harris, others say born at
Stratford-on-Avon
4) Appointed in 1669 to parishes of Lissan and Desertlyn, co
Londonderry
5) Married Isabella Maxwell of Finnebrogue
6) 1674 presented to Donaghmore Parish near Dungannon
7) Bishop-designate of Derry (he died three weeks after his predecessor
and so was never confirmed)
8) Died 1 Jul at "the passage of the river Boyne" and buried at that
spot
9) Disenterred and buried on the south side of Castle Caulfield church
10) Four of his sons were in King William's service (Pedigree in Dwyer
p135n)

Thanks
