Brodnax surprise - two Gateways in the one family

I have had the good fortune here in Canberra to see part of a book before it is published.
As I was interested in the Brodnax family I was allowed to make notes to enter into my computer.

What I found was

Major John Brodnax,
baptised 23 October 1608 Godmersham, Kent, England
his will is dated 16 November 1657 and he died shortly afterwards in York County, Virginia
He was married to Dorothy Beresford. I do not know when he moved to North America,
but their son remained behind in England, this son:

Robert Brodnax
baptised 16 May 1641 in Godmersham, Kent, England
he died in 1688
he married Ann (NOT Gibbon)
they are the parents of

William Brodnax
born 28 February 1675 Godmersham, Kent, England
baptised 16 March 1675 St.Andrew, Holborn, London
died 16 February 1727 Jamestown, Virginia
he married in Jamestown, Virginia, Rebecca Champion, she was born about 1677 and died 19 December 1723.
I do not know when William Brodnax moved to North America
their son

Edward Brodnax, of Charles City County, Virginia, was justice of that county in 1745, and Member of the House of Bughesses in 1748, but he died before taking his seat.
He is the father of

Anne Brodnax, on 11 February 1755 in Amelia County, Virginia she married Robert Munford/Monford

I understand that on 19 December 2000 both Ed Mann and Frank Young (The Bibliographer) posted to gen-med the line from this last couple to George Walker Bush.

I hope this is of interest, and if anyone can add to it, this will be gratefully received and added to my website. These new details should become part of my website after the February update.

With best wishes
