John Brandon gave the information that he found in Stirnet.re Baynton. Did you notice that he also has Nicholas Baynton just above John as also married to same Joan D?. I have found Stirnet to have problems on several lines.
I have been trying to prove the marriage of John Baynton and Joan Echyngham for several years and by eliminating daughters so far I cannot find any one that tits. The only wild thought I have had is that maybe alice Batisford and Wm Echyngham had a daughter Joan who could be the one. The 2 sources that I found give a daughter Joan as marrying wm Rykhill,d 1407, and that has been proved wrong. Newest proof shows John Rykhill in an inquisition in sussex in 1415 called Joan wife of John Rykhill and daughter of William Echyngham and Joan his wife..this probably was Joan Fitzalan Arundel...At this point I seriously doubt the Baynton-echyngham connection, but would love to find proof.

In fairness to them, they don't set out to provide high levels of
accuracy. See http://www.stirnet.com/HTML/genie/gensourc.htm
where they say:

"Don't forget that we have placed a signficant <a
href="genfam.htm#cave" target="_self">caveat</a> at the top of the Lead
Index that provides entry into the database. We KNOW that some of the
sources we have used are not fully reliable. From this we accept that
some of the data in our database are likely to be wrong. However, if we
were not to include a datum unless it had been professionally verified
we would never be able to develop this type of database - nor would
anyone else."
