Dear Newsgroup ~

On Leo van de Pas' website (http://www.genealogics.org), I notice that he
states that Julienne du Perche (ID # I00020537), wife of Gilbert de
l'Aigle, died after 1109. Julienne du Perche is surely of great
interest to many newsgroup posters, as she is ancestral to several
early English queens, among them Eleanor of Castile, Margaret of
France, Isabel of France, and Philippe of Hainault, etc., as well as
Blanche of Artois, Queen of Navarre, wife of Edmund, Earl of Lancaster
(younger son of King Henry III of England).

My file notes shows that Julienne du Perche was living about 1127, when
she witnessed a charter with her brother, Rotrou I, Count of Perche,
together at Bellême, relative to the rights of the fair of
Saint-Léonard [Reference: M. l'Abbé Barret, Cartulaire de
Marmoutier pour le Perche (Documents sur la Province du Perche 3rd ser.
No. 2) (1894): 35-36]. This source may viewed online at the great
gallica website at the following weblink:

http://gallica.bnf.fr/

Elsewhere, in my files, I also have a notation that Julienne du Perche
died after 1132, but I'm uncertain of the source for this date. If
anyone has further records of Julienne du Perche, I'd appreciate it
very much if they would post them here on the newsgroup.

Best always, Douglas Richardson, Salt Lake City, Utah

My source for Julienne du Perche was Gerald Paget and Isenburg. I double
checked with Schwennicke and he has that she died "after 1132" and so I have
amended my record but this will only become visible on my website after the
next update.
