Robert de Ros, Lord of Werke Castle (a 1294)
Robert was created a Baron but was attainted for treason.
m. Margaret Brus (b c1218, d before 30.01.1306/7, dau of Peter/Piers Brus,
lord of Skelton and Danby)
(1) William de Ros of Kendal Castle

Due to recent discussions of this line, here, I now have the Robert who
married Margaret as the one who died in 1274, and said to have died in 1275.

1) Is this Robert still the one attainted?
2) Is this Robert still the father of William de Ros of Kendal Castle?

I do note that I have another Robert de Ros, son to the one who married
Margaret Brus, so perhaps the William of Kendal Castle is actually the son of
*this* second Robert.

Thanks

As I understand it, the Robert who was attainted is the son of Robert and
Margaret, and William, the ancestor of Ros of Kendal, is the younger son of
Robert and Margaret.
