Will, knowing as I do, that you've done work to connect these families into
the research circle of those closely related to Richard Cecil, I would draw
your attention to a new discovery I've just made.

There is a DNB article of Lady Jane Fisher which describes her as
1) Wife to Sir Clement Fisher, Bart of Packington who d bef 1689
2) She herself dying 9 Sep 1689 "without issue"
3) She being at least 16 in 1651 when she effected the escape of the King,
who was disguised, and rode in her company, in order to escape.
4) daughter of Anne Bagot and Thomas Lane "of Bentley"
5) And this Anne Bagot, sister to Hervey Bagot, Bart

This last connection I'm sure you recognize, since you posted just recently
on this Hervey.

Now you know, that Hervey is the great-grandson of Richard Cecil, thus Anne
is the great-granddaughter of RC and this adds a new line of persons to your
attempts to draw every Elizabethean "person of note" into a 10-step relationship
to RC.

I am not sure yet how Clement Fisher, Bart (d bef 1689) is related to Clement
Fisher (d Oct 1619) but quite possibly he is his grandson being son of his
son Robert ? It's worth investigating that avenue for new leads.

Dear Will,

You wonder how Sir Clement is related to Sir Clement. The elder is the
grandfather. Sir Clement , is the father of Sir Robert 1st Baronet and he is
father of Sir Clement 2nd Baronet. The 3rd Baronet had no children and his
brother's son was the 3rd and his brother was the 4th and last Baronet.

Hope this helps.
I found the details in The Complete Baronetage Volume I pages 212, 213.
Best wishes
Leo
