Does anybody know of a way to narrrow down which issue of _The
Magazine of History with Notes and Queries_ it is that contains the
following?

http://tinyurl.com/c5nen

This looks like it applies to the Cooke family (Joseph or George) of
Cambridge, Mass. (My eyes are not good enough to read the tiny print.)

I entered the title into the search field and searched within the book.
The search engine removed the prepositions and conjunctions and showed
me three hits. One of these was this masthead:

THE MAGAZINE OF HISTORY
WITH NOTES AND QUERIES
Vol. VIII July 1908 No. 1

If Google Print allows users to access each volume individually, then
this should point you to at least the right volume of the series.

Thanks, how clever. I think I can get to the article on microfilm.
