ES (Freytag von Loringhoven edition) Volume II Tafel 2 shows the Counts and Dukes of Gelre/Geldern/Guelders.
Duke Reinald II, who died in 1343, married as his second wife Eleonore daughter of King Edward II of England. They had two sons, Reinald III and Eduard, who both became Duke. Only the elder son married but no children were born from this marriage.
In 1967 Mr. A. P. van Schilfgaarde published a book "Graven en Hertogen van Gelre".
It contains seals, genealogical details of the legitimate families. Burial monuments and bastards.
At least one of the monuments has been on my website for considerable time .
On pages 115 to 117 the bastards are mentioned.
Reinald III is given a son but no mother for this son is mentioned.
Johan van Hattem, van 1371-1421 bezitter van het slot te Hattem, verkocht in 1422 zijn rechten aan Gerhard van Kleef. In 1389 rector der curtis te Overasselt van de abdij van St.Valery.
Eduard is displayed with
a. Johan, bastaard van Gelre, pastoor van Boetselaer
b.een dochter, voor 1371 gehuwd met N. van Coevorden
c. Kinderen (?) bij Jutken van Wijck
In the annual publication of the Central Bureau for Genealogy in The Hague, 2003 edition, page 232, is recorded :
Ermgards echtgenoot was Johan van Groesbeek, Heer van Heumen en Malden, overleden in 1428, die in eerste echt gehuwd was met Ponte, bastaarddochter van Hertog Reinald III van Gelre.
= Ermgards husband was Johan van Groesbeek, Lord of Heumen and Malden, who died in 1428, who as his first wife had married Ponte, illegitimate daughter of Duke Reinald III of Gelre.
This Ponte and her husband have been in my genealogical system since 29 December 2003.
Then someone, who sadly no longer contributes to Gen-Med, pointed out to me that Johan van Groesbeek and Ponte had at least one daughter, Johanna van Groesbeek who married Willem van Wisch (See ES Schwennicke series Volume VIII Tafel 78).
This adds a little to the continental descendants of Edward II and I hope more can be established.
Hope this is of interest and any additions will be gratefully received.
Best wishes

Re: Bastards - Continental ones
Dear Michael,
It is not my work, I was just fortunate to be given the pieces in this
puzzle. I always thought it strange that continuing descendants of Edward II
only would go via Edward III. I do hope to continue the descendants of
Eleanor but I need help with this. Whatever information I receive always
goes into my data base and that ends up on my website, accessible to anyone.
You won't hear me say, if you want the information you have to buy my book.
Best wishes
