I've located a couple of church inscriptions from Kirkhaugh Church, near
Alston, Cumbria, which is the parish church for Barhaugh, and has some
details on the Featherstonehaugh family from Barhaugh.

(a)Albany Featherstonhaugh, lord of the manor of Barhaugh, cousin & executor
of Albany Featherstonhaugh of Featherstonhaugh Castle whose line became
extinct 1659. Alexander his s. & Heir, Lord of the manor of Barhaugh 1691.
Albany his s. & Heir 17.8.1734. Alexander his s. & Heir 5.4.1776. Albany
his s. & Heir 26.2.1813 (age 76). John Featherstonhaugh of Barhaugh
11.9.1812 (age 67). Alexander of Windy Hall, 5th s. Alexander (1776)
6.4.1796.

(b) Erected by Alexander Stephenson Featherstonhaugh of Hopton Court,
Worcestershire & 14 Warwick Square, London S.W. In memory of: Richard
Featherstonhaugh 8th s. Alexander bn. 5.4.1770 (bapt. 10.11.1770) of Windy
Hall & Alston 5.3.1822 (age 52). Mary his w. int. Abney Park Cemy., London
25.2.1847. Thomas Featherstonhaugh 2nd s. int. Leeds 15.5.1862. John 4th
s. int. St. Helens, Worcester, 14.3.1831.

(c) Richard Featherstonhaugh 2.3.1822, aged 52.

I'm still seeking any earlier details on the Featherstonhaugh family of
Barhaugh, and would appreciate any advice or information.

Regards,
Yvonne
