Families of Medieval Normandy

I just received this book 'Familles médiévales normandie' by Paul LePortier
and find it very interesting, informative and hard to put down. It covers
some of the Norman families which are part of the ancestries of two early
settlers of New France, Jacques Guéret and Mathieu LeNeuf's wife Jeanne
LeMarchand.

These are the 22 families which are covered:

I believe it is based on the articles which Monsieur LePortier had
previously published in "Revue Généalogique Normande" and "Héraldique et
Généalogie" and updated with additional information. At the end of each
chapter a list of sources is given for that family. It is in French but not
hard to figure out with a little help from Babel Fish or another translator.
If you have any interest in any of these families the book is well worth
getting. I highly recommend it.

The book is a paperback and contains 345 pages. It is priced at 29,00 Euros
and it cost me another 20,00 Euros for economy postal shipping to the USA.
It can be ordered through abebooks from the bookseller Librairie Guenegaud
in Paris. You can use this link for abebooks:

If you order the book, be patient, it took me over 6 weeks to get it but
well worth the wait.
