Possible addition to RD600: de Carterets of Massachusetts

Looking through the Boston marriages online (
http://bos-gw.rays-place.com/bos/bos-mar-05.htm ), I've noticed the
following:

Carteret
Ames & Mary Butler, Feb. 26, 1729 by Mr. John Webb

Cartirit
Phillip & Rebekah Stone, Mar. 5, 1740 by Rev. Timothy Cutler

(I assume "Ames" is a phonetic rendering of the name "Amice," which was
used among the de Carterets of Jersey.)

It seems that there were at least a few descendants of this family in
Massachusetts (see http://tinyurl.com/buquo ).

I would suggest that these people are relations of the Dumaresq family
of Massachusetts, shown on pp. 310-11 of Gary's book in a line ending
thus --

14. Francis de Carteret, atty. gen. of Jersey = Anne Seale
15. Frances de Carteret = Elias Dumaresq
16. Philip Dumaresq of Mass. = Susan Ferry
