Thanks to Will Johnson I am trying to get the Stewarts of Glenorchy in some order.
According to SP Sir John Campbell, of Glenorchy, 4th Baronet has a daughter Catherine and her marriage contract is dated 23 March 1664 to Alexander Robertson of Lude.
I do not think I have much on this family but I have a Alexander Robertson of Lude who died in 1673 and was married to a Jean Menzies.
Would this be one and the same Alexander, married twice? or a father and son? Does anyone know? With many thanks.

Re: Robertson of Lude
Dear Leo
I offer this as the work of a respectable genealogist, but I have not
checked it in any particular, save that I have visited the church.
Leslie Hodgson did a booklet for the visit of the Heraldry Society of
Scotland to the church of St Adamnan, Kilmaveonaig, near Blair Atholl,
in 1999. The following is a genealogical extract:
John Robertson, 7th of Lude, married after 1547 Beatrix d of George
Gardyne of Gardyne, widow of Finlay Farquharson of Invercauld, had a
son
Alexander served heir 1565, died 1615, m Agnes d Alexr Gordon of
Abergeldie, d 9.12.1634, had a son
Alexander d Feb 1639 m Beatrix d Patrick (George?) Graham of
Inchbrackie, had a son
Alexander a minor in 1639 d 1673, buried Kilmanveonaig, m 1664 (3rd)
Catherine d Sir John Campbell of Glenorchy 4th Bt, d 1699, buried
Finlarig, had a son
John d 1732, bur Kilmanveonaig, m Margaret only d Alrxr Farquharson of
Invercauld, d 1751, bur K, had a son
John d 1741 bur K, m Hon Charlotte Nairne,d Wm Murray Nairne 2 Lord
Nairne, 4 son Marquess of Atholl, d 1785, bur K, had a son
James a minor in 1741, served heir 1758 d March 1803, bur K, m 1758 his
cousin Margaret ed Hon Robert Mercer of Aldie (formerly Murray-Nairne),
d 1802, bur K, had two sons
the younger son, Col John, d 1820 bur K
the elder son, General William d Jan 1820 bur K (his trustees sold
Lude), m 1802 (1) Margaret d Geo Haldane of Gleneagles, d 1805 bur
Edinburgh, had two sons
the elder Col James Alexr, b 1804 d unmarried Sept 1874, bur K and
William Drummond, d 1813 bur K
They intermarried with the Murray/Nairne/Mercer family nexus, all close
neighbours, as seen above. I have heard the story that the General had
a dispute about hunting rights with the Duke of Atholl, who claimed the
right to hunt over the Lude lands. The General lost the case and the
Duke organised a grand shoot to celebrate his victory in court. The
General arrayed his cannon on his front lawn and by a method of
signalling managed to let off a round whenever the Duke's guests came
close to a stag. Whatever else happened it was reported that the Duke
did not return.
They were a cadet of Robertson of Struan, for in 1328 Patrick
Robertson, accounted the eldest cadet of that family, was given the
lands of Lude which were erected into a barony in 1488. The booklet
does not give earlier generations of the family, as not being relevant
to the visit.

Re: Robertson of Lude
The Robertsons of Lude are covered pretty thoroughly in the article on
Robertson of Struan in the 1972 edition of Burke's Landed Gentry (the 3rd
vol. of the 18th edition). The lineage shown there agrees with what is in
the message below and adds the earlier generations connecting them to the
Struan family.
As to Leo's specific question, Alexander Robertson of Lude (d. 1673) m. (1)
Jean Menzies, dau. of Sir Alexander, byt whom he had a dau. Margaret m.
Alexander Robertson of Faskally, Perthshire. His 2nd marriage (no issue)
was to Marjory, dau. of John Graham of Balgowan, Perthshire. The 3rd
marriage was to Catherine Campbell of Glenorchy, by whom the Lude line
continued.

Re: Robertson of Lude
Hi,
Out of curiousity,
Could I please ask whether this is the Robertson family of
Struan, Scotland
OR the Robertson of Struan, South Australia,
(17 kms south of Naracoorte)
OR both, as I believe they may tie up together as some
South Australian records suggest that they came from
Struan in Scotland. Naming where they lived as Struan Sth Aust.
I used to live in the Robertson Homestead House
(2 storey late 1800's manison house) at Struan Soth Australia,
in the early 1950's.
It was then owned and still is, by the Sth Australian Government.
Now is South Eastern Regional Headquarters of the Agriculture dept.
regards
John H.
