Julio Gonzalez, _El Reino de Castilla en la Epoca de Alfonso VIII_, 3 vols.
(Madrid, 1960), gives the following children of Alfonso & Eleanor
Plantagenet at vol. 1, pp. 194-212. I list first the 10 children Gonzalez
has securely documented, & then 3 others who are less certainly recorded but
who may well have been this couple's children:

1. Berengaria, b. before Aug. 1180

2. Sancho, b. 5 April 1181, d. in July 1181

3. Sancha, b. between 20 & 28 March 1182, living 3 Feb. 1184. Died young.

4. Urraca, b. ca 1186 or earlier; m. 1206 Alfonso II of Portugal & d. 2 Nov.
1220.

5. Blanca/Blanche, b ca 4 March 1188; m. 1200 Louis (VIII) of France & d.
1252.

6. Fernando/Ferdinand, b. 29 Nov. 1189, d. unm. 14 Nov. 1211.

7. Mafalda/Matilda, b. ca 1191, d. 1204 when she was described as aged 13.

8. Leonor/Eleanor, b. (uncertain), m. 1221 (div. 1229) Jaime I of Aragon &
d. 1251.

9. Constance, b. (uncertain) d. 2 Jan. 1243 as a nun at las Huelgas near
Burgos.

10. Enrique/Henry I of Castile, b. 14 April 1204, d. unm. 6 June 1217.

The three children Gonzalez regards as less securely documented than the
above ten are:

Enrique/Henry, b. (uncertain), d. young ca 1184.

Fernando/Ferdinand, b. ca 1183? d. before 1187.

Leonor/Eleanor, d. young and bur. at las Huelgas where there still exists a
sarcophagus said to be hers, as daughter of the founders King Alfonso &
Queen Leonor. (Not the same as Queen Leonor of Aragon who d. 1251.)
