Bridget Cave wife of Francis Tanfeild of Gayton

My curiousity was roused today when I trundled across yet *another* Cave that
appears to be connected to the people I'm mainly researching.

+ Living Descendents of Blood Royal, Vol 2; Count d'Angerville; World
Nobility, London. 1962; "Harper", pg 404-7

states that Bridget Cave wife of Francis Tanfeild of Gayton, Northampton; was
the daughter of Thomas Cave of Stanford.

I already have two people of that name, and no information that allows me not
to assume there might be a third. "Living Descendents" gives Francis a death
date of 1588 but Leo gives Francis a death date of 21 Nov 1558 and his father
William Tanfeild, Esq a death date of 6 Apr 1529

I tried various ways to find this Bridget Cave, but except for variant
entries in OneWorldTree (one has a notation to see PA) I can't find much useful.

I can't find any documents on her or her husband at A2A. And I don't see any
extracted parish records for this name at http://www.familysearch.org

I believe this couple is ancestral to one or more U.S. presidents evidently.

Thanks
Will Johnson

Look in A. R. Justice, _Ancestry of Jeremy Clarke_. He gives
information on that whole generation of Caves.

I descend from Francis Tanfield (d 1558) & Bridget Cave and have
consequently collected a great deal of information on both the Tanfield and
the Cave families. This couple were ancestors of both Thomas Jefferson and
Robert E. Lee. I shall forward to you off list copies of my full Tanfield
and Cave files.

Best wishes
Robert O'Connor
