In "Living Descendents", Count d'Angerville, Vol II, London 1960
sub "Hooker" pg 425
in part we see the following descent [I only show the problematic portion]

9 - Guy de Beauchamp, d Warwick Castle 1315, Earl of Warwick; m 1309/10 Alice
de Toni, dau of Ralph de Toni
10 - Lucia de Beauchamp m Sir Robert de Napton, Knt
11 - Sir Adam Napton, feudal lord of Napton manor, Warwickshire
12 - Clemence de Napton m Robert de Keverell
13 - Austin de Keverell, feudal lord of Keverell, Warwickshire
14 - William de Keverell, lord of Keverell
15 - Jane de Keverell, m Thomas Jeames of Tisho
16 - John Jeames, of Tisho, Warwickshire
17 - Johanna Jeames m Richard Willis of Napton, Warwickshire
18 - Thomas Willis, lord of Napton manor
19 - Richard Willis of Napton
20 - Thomas Willis of Priors Marston
21 - Richard Willis of Fenny Compton
22 - William Willis of Fenny Compton
23 - Ambrose Willis of Fenny Compton m Agnes Coles, dau of William
24 - Richard Willis of Fenny Compton m Hester Chambers dau of George
25 - Governor George Wyllys of Fenny Compton and Hartfort, Connecticut m Mary
Smith
26 - Hon Samuel Wyllys bapt Fenny Compton, Warwick 16 Feb 1631/2

Frst let us note with growing alarm, how 16 (sixteen!) generations are here
given with no dates whatsoever between them.
Second, starting from the date of marriage 1309/10 of generation 9 and ending
at the baptism of generation 26 1631/2 we have exactly three hundred and 22
years.

Let's do a rough calculation, say the average age of each father at the birth
of the next generation (not necessarily the first child) was 25, and the
average age of the women was 20. We have 14 men and 2 women to account for (see
above), which gives us 14x25 plus 2 x20 = 390 years

Although for particular births it may be possible to shorten chronology, over
a long run, it will out. It is apparent that here we have a serious problem
in this line.
