I have been trying to find out the correct family of Aisha. Who are her
parents? Uthman and Ruqayya, Uthman and Nayla bint Farasa? Can anyone help
me with her genealogy?
I was told to check the "Cambridge (Encyclopedia) History of Islam, Vol 1"
but I live in a small town and don't know if I can find it and don't know if
it would be available for an interlibrary loan.
I am going to Canada today and will check their library and also check our
library but thought maybe one of the experts on this board might have an
answer or can lead me in another direction as well for answers.
Thank you for reading this,

June,
I checked Amazon.com, they listed The Cambridge History of Islam (The
Cambridge History of Islam).
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/de ... ce&s=books
You can search through it for whatever you need. I've found this to be quite
helpful, since I'm stuck in Kansas!!

My direct line goes through Fatima, Moh'd, etc. I have been corresponding
with a gentleman and we are trying to sort out the children and wives of
Uthman.
His direct line goes up to Aisha and he is trying to find out the name of
her mother. Some say Nayla and some say Ruqayya.

Thank you for the link. The library has found one on loan and I will get it
in a couple of days and see if helps before buying one. (the used ones are
very reasonable)

That is the problem. He is trying to find a reliable source and correct
information if at all possible.
