Subject: Missing?
I have not seen anything from Chico Doria for some time. Not even when
asking for help with Spanish. Not on any of the lists to which we both
subscribe. His Id. on ancient_genealogy says that e-mails to him are
bouncing. Has something happened to this kind and generous gentleman? I
should hope not - but perhaps someone here knows?

Re: Missing?
Chico Doria is OK.
Presently he is quite busy publishing a journal(?) in his scientific
area and a book on genealogy.
He hosts two lists in Yahoo Groups, one on Portuguese and Brazilian
Genealogy, the other Off-Topic, both very busy but fortunately without
any subscriber that could be compared to Richardson, Brandon or Hines.
We already have some subscribers from South and North America lookink
for portuguese roots but, again fortunately, nobody from Turkey.
It's a pity that Portugal is of minor interest to the international
genealogical community. People like Peter Stewart (I give no more names
to don't be unjust if I would forget somebody) would be very wellcome.
I will copy your msg to Chico and if you will send me an e-mail in pvt
I am quite sure that I will soon send you his actual e-mail address.
Best regards

Thank you, Francisco - I'm not entirely sure that Chico would agree, as I
have been disgracefully rude to him in the past, although he & I have also
corresponded happily off-list. One of the benefits of a moderated newsgroup
will be to control my manners better that I do unaided.
I'm sorry to say that Portugal and Brazil are beyond my limited scope as a
contributor to SGM. However, like most here, I always read Chico's posts on
these subjects with interest.
