Chilean Gateway Ancestors? With Scottish origins?

I received a family tree and in it was a footnote which is very interesting as it could give a link to royalty for a a family in Chile.

In this footnote a reference is made to a Lady Mary Campbell, sister of the first Duke of Argyll.
At this moment she is not in my website and she is also not mentioned in Burke's Peerage.
By her father is recorded that by his first wife he had (with three daughters) the following sons...

The Scottish Peerage came to the rescue. And there I found her, Lady Mary Campbell born 17 July 1657. That was all, no death date, no husband.

The link to me is not certain for several reasons, one is the time factor. Her greatgranddaughter married someone born in 1776 and that stretches it a bit, but it is possible.

The other peculiarity of this line is the name of her son (I do not know the name of the husband)
Jose Archibaldo Darroch Campbell, his son is Juan Antonio Darroch Campbell. Darroch seems to me a perfectly acceptable Scottish surname. Was perhaps the husband Mr. Darroch not acceptable? Did they elope and take off for South America?

Can anyone add to this? We do need to expand our horizons with Gateway Ancestors and this could be a great addition.
Many thanks
