Echyngham land in Kent

Regarding land in Kent that belonged to the Echyngham family and was claimed in dower by Elizabeth I have the following.

William Echyngham born 1335 and was 15 when his father died had land in Jacques court near Lydd and also in Walland Marsh. Elizabeth , his wife, had dower lands assigned to her in 1390 . From documents in the Sussex Family Historian March 1988, it was suggested that Elizabeth came from a Kent family or maybe the St. Leger family as the manors of Ivychurch and de Snave in Kent were given to the Echynghams in an exchange with Wm St. Leger de Socknersh in 1260 and in 1247 the property owners of Snave were James and William de Echygnahm. The property stayed in the family for many years. But it is probable that she was a daughter of Nicholas Crioll (Kryell in his will 1379) as he left 20 marks to Elizbeth Echyngham and appointed Sir Wm Echyngham and Robert Echyngham as two of his executors. His will is on the Kent will website.

Are you stating this person was son to the William Echyngham who married a
Shoyswell that you previously posted on? If so the slab you described says
that the father died 18 Jan 1348 doesn't it? At least that is what Tony says it
says. So this son would have been 13 at his father's death. Can you post the
text?
