Margaret Wauton & Roger Harleston

Some time ago (2002) Patricia Junkin posted an extract from a Proof of
Age thus:

"In the Writ 26 October 1399 to prove age of Ivo Harleston, son of
Margaret, a daughter and heir of Margaret, wife of John de Wauton...
Hugh Plowrigh and Richard Outlawe, each 58, on that day went with
master Ivo la Zouch, chancellor of Cambridge University, to the church,
and after the baptism to the house of the friars minor to hear the
preaching of holy scripture... Thomas Caldecote, 59 and Thomas
Skynnere, 70, were with Master Ivo la Zouche then chancellor of
Cambridge University, in Trinity Hall, when Roger Harleston, the father
sent his servant John Dyne to ask Zouch to be godfather"

The Visitation of Cambridgeshire, sub Burgoyne, tells us that Roger
Harleston also had a daughter, married to John Burgoyne, while
Roskell's HoP entry for the latter couple's son, John Burgoyne MP, says
that the subject's grandfather Roger Harleston was also an MP.

VCH Cambs calls Harleston "a land dealer", who had bought a manor at
Cottenham before 1375; it states he died circa 1389. According to the
Cottenham article:

(a) Roger probably had a younger son Henry

(b) This Henry was succeeded by a Giles Harleston, ff 1410, who in turn
had a son Henry (ff 1429), who probably married a Margaret and left a
son John (ff1478-1494); this John had a daughter and heir, Agnes,
married to Thomas Scroggs.

Roskell further relates, under 'John Wynter' that Yvo Harleston died in
1403, and his widow Eleanor married secondly to John Wynter MP and died
testate in March 1416, being buried with her first husband at St
Clement's, Cambridge.

PROCAT has the following references:

Eleanor Harleston, who was the wife of Ives: Cambridgeshire 4 Henry IV
(C 138/18/3) - presumably an IPM, and

Proof of Age: John Harleston, son and heir of the late Ivo: Essex 3
Henry VI.

This allows the following stemma to be constructed:

1. John de Wauton married Margaret. Issue:

2. Margaret de Wauton married Roger Harleston, MP, died c1389. Issue:

3a. (daughter), married John Burgoyne and left issue

3b. Ivo Harleston, born circa 1378; died 1403; married Eleanor (married
2ndly John Wynter, MP), died March 1416. Issue:

4. John Harleston, born circa 1402; married Margaret. Issue:

3c. (possibly) Henry Harleston, of Cottenham, Cambs; apparently left
issue.

This line is ancestral to the St George and Peyton familes.

Can anyone add any furthe detail? In particular, is the identity of
Margaret, wife of John de Wauton (presumably an heiress) known? Was
she a Sutton?
