I find references to a Jocelyn Fitz Reinfrid son of Roger wiith a daughter Alice ,. but no one has any proof note or source for this material. Has anyone on the list any clues to the truth of this information. This would be about 1183. The first mention I can find is in spencer Hall's 1850- book Echyngham of Echyngham and of course no sources given. The family seemed to be in Sussex.

Would this then be in the same family as the
Roger FitzReinfride of Cumberland who is said to have married Alice Le Breton
of Cheshire, They are said to have had a son Gilbert FitzReinfride of
Kendal, Westmoreland who married Hawise of Lancaster

This is all very confused in my files as I patched it together from various
unreliable sources, in passing, as I was not researching these families
directly. This looks like old stuff I might have gotten from Burke's, but I can't
really be sure.

All in all it needs a lot of work.
