Runcimans Crusades

I recently purchased the1990 Penguin edition of Runcimans' A History of
the Crusades and found that the genealogical tables given as an appendix in
the contents page were not present. I have contacted Penguin with regard to
this and they have told me that due to the very low volume of copies of this
work it was prohibitive to cover the cost of including these tables and
still
price the volumes at a level that would sell. As there are other editions in
print, I would advise anyone considering buying this work to look at an
alternative to the current Penguin edition if they wish to preserve the
integrity
of the original text. The politics and family intrigues can be very
difficult to
follow without these tables.

It's also worth noting that the genealogical tables aren't 100%

accurate anyway. One of my friends MA dissertation 9Scottish first
degree) was a correction of Sir Steven's genealogical tables.
Unfortunately I can't recall which ones were most faulty.

I don't know, across the board, which was worst, but I recall that he
made Baldwin II his own grandfather.
