CURWEN - Calder Hell

I am currently trying to make sense of the TOWERSON clan in Cumberland,
London and Portsmouth.

There are some A2A land transactions concerning CURWEN and, as I don't
research that family but know lots of people do, I'm hoping that someone can
quickly fill me in with relevant details from the Curwen side.

Nicholas Towerson bought tenements in 'Hall Calder' from Sir HENRY CURWEN.
In 1577, there's a quitclaim by Robert Towerson of Calder Hall and ROBERT
CURWEN of Calder Hall of CHRISTOPHER CURWEN of Calder Hall of their interest
in a quarter of a tenement in Calder. Nicholas Towerson's grandson sold his
tenements (or half of them) to William Frears in 1595. NICHOLAS CURWEN of
'Hallcalder' sold Calder Hall to William Towerson in 1602, who then gave it
to his brother who then transferred it to Thomas Frears in 1612.

So, can anyone fill me in on the relationships between Henry, Christopher,
Robert and Nicholas Curwen? And is any family connection known between
Curwen and Towerson or Frears (Fryer)?

Many thanks if anyone can help.
Chris
