name equivalency question re Gurgen

Would anyone know what, if any, Western name the Georgian name Gurgen or
Gourgen might correspond to. The names George and Gregory occur to me as
possibilities.

Dear Paul,
The Georgian form of the name George is known to have been
Giorgi at least from the late tenth century. According to certain websites
naming Georgian Kings, King Vakhtang I was nicknamed Gorgasali. which word is
probably related to Gurgen.
Sincerely,
