Mr. Robert1 Gibbs of Boston is known to have been a member of the Gibbs
family of Honington, Warwickshire, a son of Sir Henry Gibbs. _Records
& Files of Essex Co. Quarterly Courts_, 5:8, states that he was aged
about thirty-three in April 1667.

The extracted IGI for Honington shows a "Robt Gibs," son of "Hen.,"
baptized 10 Feb. 1634.

I remember seeing a brief article in one of the issues of _Old-Time New
England_ on the Robert Gibbs house in Boston, which was supposed to
have cost L3,000 when built (ca. 1665?). There were reproductions of
portraits of the Gibbs children (I think).
